Rachael Wanyama’s Dreams Becoming a Reality
Racheal Wanyama joined SLF sponsorship program when she lost her father who was the bread winner. She comes from a large family and her mother is one of the business women in Nandika Village Misikhu ward, Bungoma County. During the death of her husband, she was just a housewife. Joining Secondary School would have been impossible for Racheal without sponsorship by Stephen Lewis Foundation through CREADIS. She has been supported with fees since form one in Kimilili Girls Secondary School and now at Machakos Teachers Training College.
When younger, she dreamed of being a teacher and when she finished her form four and passed with grade C, she was admitted to Machakos Teachers Training College where she is pursuing her two-year Certificate in teaching. She started this in September last year, thanks to support from Stephen Lewis Foundation sponsorship program.
